3UROTRIP 7/13

 granada spain, malaga spain, manilva spain


 - woke up at 8 am, ate 2 pieces of toast with butter and milk, we wrote the card and we gave it to klein and he said he didnt write anything because he doesnt know spanish💀 he literally left before us and just said goodbye to the homestay very casually and dipped forever. Anyway we gave them the nuts and the card and we hugged it was sad leaving, seriously living in the homestay was so transformative and it was an experience that money can't buy, it was just so pure every day eating with them, wtaching the news or soccer, talking to them in spanish, going to their recommendations, and just watching them cheer and smile when spain was advancing. The food we were eating was also so great and convenient and it was just so great to be able to get to know true authentic Spanish food on a daily basis. My favorite dishes that they cooked was either the paella or the pasta. I also liked the smoothies and the croquetas, they deserve honorahble mentions. And the yogurt, so many things that i have to mention and so many things that I will yet miss. The euro finals will be hype, spain better win that theres no way england wins bruh

 - then we took a bus to malaga

 - castle malaga, saw viewpoints of the city and was able to see the mediterannean sea and the ports. The water was very blue and the ports were really cool, overall the skyline is a lot more modern than granada. I still like granada better, it just has more aura and uniqueness and flair to it.

 - lunch malaga

 - picasoo museum for an hour, it was cool some of the visuals and style but art museums in general are boring. Apparently malaga is known for having a ton of museums

 - bus to manilva, our hotel was interesting me and ian were on the bottom floor with one bedroom and we go up the stairs and it is jackson adam and klein, klein took the couch. Manilva is the most random small city in andalucia and we are in this neat apartment complex with a kitchen and a really nice porch and stuff, no washing machine tho which woudlve been so useful. Only thing I really did was boil water.

 - ate dinner in manilva at a pizza place, it was really good, we went with a big group. There weren't many optins other than that pizza place, otherwise you go south like 20 min to the beach and theres like a burger king and like restaurants and stuff.

capitola on a peculiar saturday | DAY

10/21/23 DAY post So it's Saturday and I'm not home for the weekend. Let's run down what I did today, because it was quite a unique day.  - I wanna do a codeforces contest at 4 AM tomorrow  - Thus, I slept at 5 AM and woke up at 11 AM today, to kinda skew my sleep schedule or whatever  -  I went on like a bike ride and went to andres' room and went on omegle, thats how I killed the time to sleep at 5 AM  - So with the preface out of the way, let'st alk about today.  - SO 11 AM jackson's alarm woke me up, I was planning on waking up later but its whatever. He went home for the weekend.   - I drank a smoothie with strawberries, blueberries, and milk for breakfast. That stuff was pretty good tbh. casual productive tuesday + arian's slug story

 Today is Tuesday and here I am wrapping up how the day went. It was fairly uneventful I would say.   - Woke up at like 7:50 AM and got ready. I literally stopped telling myself to pull up to this class on time because there really is no need to and it feels so good to press that snooze button  - And so I went to my 8 AM class until 9:35 AM. I put in one earbud and litearlly finished my reading reflection due on Thursday during class which felt super satisfying. Literally that class is so soothing sometimes to do work because its just kids yapping making a nice environment for me to do work  - Then I went back to my room and did some cubing until around 10:50 AM  - Then I left at 10:50 AM cuz Jackson was coming back today at 11:20 AM and I don't wanna deal with his mom being in the room lol so I guess that means a very early lunch for me.  - After lunch I took a bike down to McHenry library.
