granada spain
today was sunday last day of our free weekend and ian went to the beach at like 11:30 am and comes back at like 9:30 pm, i was thinking about going but its like 1 hr away bus ride and i dont even have any shoes for the beach. So heres what i did by myself after eating breakfast at 10 am
- work till 1 pm
- 1pm - 2:45pm = walk around the city, i went to return a clothing and also walked around along the way
- 3pm = lunch (mustard salad + paella + same type of cake from yesterday dinner). I ate so much paella I was so full and then I had to eat a whole piece of cake after like holy cow. The paella was really good the meat was really good and I ate a lot I was so full. We were watching the news and the bull event in Pamplona is pretty crazy.
- 4pm - 9pm = i took the subway back to the mall from two days ago, i didnt rly know what to do this afternoon by myself and i looked at the sierra nevadas national park and its not that good its for like skiing and stuff so like i was just like ill take the subway to nevada shopping mall cuz we didnt even explore it all last time.
- now i left at 4:21 pm around, and the subway arrives at 4:28. I decided to try to make this one cuz I thought it was doable. It's a 10 minute walk to the station according to the google maps, so I was running for a lot of it and I made it to the subway station literally at 4:27 and I'm like bruh I don't hvae time to buy the subway ticket so I HOPPED THAT SHT LMAOOOOOOO NO ONE WAS NEARBY I HOPPED THAT SO CLEANLY AND THEN I RAN DOWN THE ESCALATOR AND AS I WAS WALKING DOWN THE ESCALATOR THE METRO HAD ALREADY ARRIVED AND THE DOOR WAS ABOUT TO OPEN AND I MADE IT BARELY IN TIME. THATS LITERALLY +10000000 AURA RIGHT THERE. THE CLEAN HOP OVER WAS CRAZY AND THEN THE PERFECT TIMING MOMENT WITH ME GOING DOWN THE ESCALATOR. IT WAS SO SMOOTH. MY JUMP TECHNIQUE WAS SO CLEAN TOO.
- So with that triumph there were also a ton of seats open on the subway which was different from last time I took it at like 10:30 AM with Ian prob cuz ppl are going to work in the morning. I was like high-key sweating from running. Anyway I decided to not get off on the station in the Nevada mall and instead get off in the station after it. So I coudl walk and explore some parts of the South part of Granada. And LITERALLY because of hte siesta, it was 5 pm and it was literally a ghost town. There were like 1 or 2 cars max on the streets driving, i was the only one walking, and its crazy cuz it was actually like a ghost town like the difference between that and what it would look like at like 8 pm would be so different.
- And with that it was soooo peaceful I was just walking and admiring all the signs and stuff and literally everything was flat signposts I took a lot of photos of that and I've been taking notes on the flat signposts a lot and they were circular in central Sevilla, circular in central Cordoba, flat in central Granada (occasionally round), and definitely flat in outskirts/suburbs of Granada. And on the highway its like 99% flat. So yeah I didn't know that about SPain I thought it was just all flat but no in the more populated city centers it's roundn for whatever reason
- Anyway so I walked to the mall, explored the stuff there, I ended up thinking for like 10 minutes and just said fk it ill buy it and bought a black hoodie for 8 euros like thats so cheap it is similar to my white hoodie and then I went back in the ikea for a second and ended up buying a small picture frame thing for .99 euros i plan on framing kyries game 7 three pointer in myr oom in college with that.
- And then after the mall since I don't have a round trip ticket and I don't want to buy another ticket and also cuz i had time to spare I definitely knew that I wanted to walk all the way back to the homestay, it would be a 1 hr long walk. And that was a nice walk, I went through a big park, saw some random cool statues, saw the museo of ciencias from outside, saw the congress of granada building which was pretty cool, and then stopped by a flying tigers denmark store that was open close to my homestay and that stuff was similar to ale hop its just so many small gimmicks and i ended up buying an umbrella hat for 4 euros i rly like the hat it is a bit tight tho. Might wanna go back to that store with Ian to show him it. Anyway it was a really nice walk where I got to fully experience the suburbs of Granada more, very fun. I took a ton of photos, and there not backing up fast enough. OH WOW I RAN OUT OF STORAGE AGAIN. Dude this is so annoying I'll figure it out tomorrow.
- Dinner was a sandwich with pork and chicken i think along with salad. As you can see the dinners here are much smaller compared to lunch.
Photo album will just be whatever I have backed up before it ran out of storage again. I took a lot of photos. Incomplete:
